- Our story began in May 2005 the night before I was set to graduate college. My friend Emily forced me to go to a friend's going away party, and just when I had enough and was headed for the door, in walks Mark. Two years and many, many miles later, we tied the knot in the place we met. Mark's job required us to leave our beloved home state for the Valley of the Vapors (also known as "Spa City"). But I've got to tell you, you know you've returned to God's Country when a large, neon-lit, bright pink ice cream cone greets you at the border, calling your name. Now you know how this blog got its name.
